“Genesis” “Exodus” “Kings” (2022) Search Party S5E1, E2, E3
Bekkah:
I am here for this wild ride!! Season 1 of Search Party was awesome and I felt like it went downhill from there, but everyone has told me season 5 is great. I always love when Jeff gets to play a friggin weirdo and so eccentric billionaire tech bro with an e-crossbow is definitely in that zone. Episode 1 was No Jeff, episode 2 was Not Enough Jeff, but in episode 3, Jeff shines in his fantastic outfit and with his ahhyayayaya scream on the way to the center of the Earth. More, please!
Danya:
Bekkah made me watch all of Search Party so we could at least know what was happening when Swoonster Goldblum finally shows up in season 5, and I am not mad about it. Each season is it’s own totally bananas fantabulist house of mirrors. Then, in just these first few episodes, Search Party pushes it even more. It’s not enough that every single one of these people is deeply, deeply unlikeable, now they get to be unlikeable in a dystopian sci-fi future! Surprise, you thought you were in the real world, but now there are designer AI children and enlightenment in a pill. It’s actually just as compelling as it is dark.
