King of The Hill (2002) S6E10 “The Substitute Spanish Prisoner”

Bekkah:

I don’t really know what to say about this episode! I haven’t watched this show since it’s initial run and while I’ve appreciated the memes (“that’s my purse, I don’t know you!” “do I look like I know what a JPEG is?”), this episode was like, a lot sadder than I expected? Is King of the Hill always like this? Jeff was an unlikeable con man scheming poor people out of money. It all worked out in the end due to one of Texas’ 150 smartest people (Peggy Hill) but it was an awkward ride!

Danya:

So the one time I watched King of the Hill it was the episode with Ani Difranco, because I went to a ladies college and it was mandatory to love Ani. This episode is MUCH WORSE than that episode. The one thing I learned is that you can actually buy a PhD! Online! Like, on the real internet, not even the dark web! Why did I waste all those years when I could have just done that. Oh well. Hank Hill is not a feminist and Jeff looks weird blond, even if it’s animated. Simpsons > King of the Hill forever.

5/10 Goldhills
