This show continues to be a near-peak experience for Jeff Goldblum Movie Club. I’m actually thankful that we didn’t watch it earlier in this project because I would have been even more let down by the lowlights of his career and I feel like I appreciate his 20* charisma even more than I would have a year ago. Jeff LARP-ing is amazing. Jeff not understanding the masculinity of eSports is amazing. Jeff dancing with the LGBTQ denim club is amazing. Jeff going Indiana Jeans-ing is amazing. I love it. Keep em coming, Disney+!!

This has not been my very favorite week ever, but somehow Jeff just makes it all better. He’s like a fizzy cherry gin and tonic, sweet refreshing, but also very very weird. I learned things about denim, like that indigo isn’t absorbed into the fibers, but rather clings to the outside, which is why jeans fade. I loved Jeff making his own leopard print pants (but would have extra points if we saw him wearing them). Jeff being dismayed at the huge esports convention was only topped by his pure delight at playing Lord Darius. His rousing speech at the end (ad libbed?) about his life belonging to the community was exactly what I needed. I am glad Jeff and I live in the same world, and one day Bekkah and I will hug him.
