Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2009) S8E12 Passion & S8E14 Major Case

Bekkah:

These two episodes were pretty good! Better than last week’s for sure, but each episode was very different. In ep12, we had the classic Law & Order formula where they revealed the murderer just before the last commercial break (I really should have known), but in ep14, we knew the murderer from the first scene! MIXING IT UP and I liked it. Jeff is the best detective in the force (duh, also the one with the best leather jackets and hoodies and also walking jauntily into buildings) but he is *unconventional* and his boss is NOT here for it. But I am. Solve those cases, unconventionally! Also, please wear more glasses because I like a bespectacled Jeff.

Danya:

What was best about tonight was how drunk Bekkah is. I still don’t understand Law & Order, or why Jeff is only in every other episode, but I do understand Bekkah drinking literally a bucket of gin during it. Both these episodes were filled with sad bois and toxic masculinity. Why is it that only thin, pretty, young, white women are dying in NYC? They are such a small minority of people! It is improbable. I appreciate that Jeff has several leather blazers and is clearly smarter than everyone else. I might just keep watching for his epic fake outs that always catches the culprit. It must be nice to be so good at your job.
