Fathers and Sons (1992)

Bekkah:

So we started watching another movie called Fathers and Sons (also bought on DVD), which was so bad it made me check to see if it was the right one (it wasn’t). This was great news because that movie seemed terrible. I do think this movie was less terrible than that one would have been but this was… not great. I feel like this movie had some promise, but then it turned into like 15 different movies all loosely tied together with The Chew (drrrrugs) and psychics. Flirty Jeff is great! Terrible father Jeff is not great! Everyone needs therapy. I need a 4th gin and grapefruit spindrift.

Danya:

There are a lot of movies where Jeff is in a play within a play, and this is one of them! I wouldn’t say it’s the weirdest one of them (that was the Tall Guy), but probably still really weird. Jeff is a widower who also likes to emotionally and physically abuse his psychic son. You get to see him flirt with many women (does Jeff have the magic penis this time?) and also, sometimes be nice to his son. The most hilarious part about this movie was that Bekkah bought the dvd of Fathers and Sons (2002) which has NO JEFF in it, but we watched way too long before we figured it out. I love a creepy serial killer and a sexy jeff, but you can get both those things better else where.

Guest Review! Chris:

Don’t do the chew, kids.
