Le Week-End (2013)

Bekkah:

I think we have realized that our barometers for Jeff movies are just very different than people who haven’t watched dozens of bad movies over the course of this year. This movie was not like… terrible, so that was nice? I realized a few years ago that I do not like coming of age stories. And this was like a coming of old-age story, which is just as bad. Coming of (old-)age stories are usually just full of people who are aimless and sad and maybe something happens and then there is a small conflict and maybe a speech? So anyway, the guy who wasn’t Jeff in this movie (I never bother to learn names in movies, but this guy was also Horace Slughorn in Harry Potter, so maybe his name is Horace) was a serious sadboi with a sadlady wife. At first, I thought the wife (who I also didn’t learn the name of) was the bad person, but they were both bad. Jeff was also bad, but at least had some joy, even though he was a shitty rich dude. At least he was funny and happy? I wish that they had all had a big sex party together. That would have been so much more joyful. I am going to imagine that is what happened, and that is a much better memory.

Danya:

Old whyte people being old whyte people. Also, everyone sucks here. 5 stars for Paris. More rum, please to watch this movie.
