“Toodle Day” (2004) Tom Goes to the Mayor S1E4

I am way too sober for this 11 minute dive into a weird side-world in the Tim and Eric universe. What just happened?!?!?!?! I was never really big into Tim and Eric anyway, but this is like so niche. Just a weird half animated story of Jefftown (no relation to our hero) where they have legally binding dog marriages (and divorces!). Jeff is the weird pet shop owner, but honestly he is probably one of the least weird people in this town. At least he didn’t run over a dog with his chariot of his own face or… sniff dog butts to play matchmaker? I can’t believe I have written this much about 11 minutes.

This was quite a journey in 11 minutes. And felt so very 2004, like deeply, in it’s rugged unshaven man-bones, 2004. Absurdism and pups and Jeff Goldblum are all great things, but mooshed all together, it was not unlike a car wreck, I could not look away. But this specific car wreck also gave me the image of Toodle day, which is something I hope exists somewhere in the world. There are not enough drugs in the world to make watching this make sense. I’m not totally mad about it…I think.
