So I feel like I would have watched this show, had it been picked up, but also I totally get why it wasn’t picked up. I am not sure I can explain it, but I feel like a fart joke in the first episode and the weird behind the scenes focus group thingy were both off-putting. But you know what wasn’t off-putting? Super dreamy Jeff making a surprise appearance as Sarah Silverman’s ex. Swoon! What a life. I would totally have been a mess if my 10 year relationship with Jeff came to a crushing halt. You’re doing okay, Sarah/Susan! But why tf were you paying rent for 10 years in an apartment you moved out of? (Also bonus points for Tig Notaro!)

So we are real deep in the Great Work of Jeff Goldblum (r) but this is just a Pretty Good Work. I enjoyed this 23 minutes of Sarah Silverman being herself, but I get why it wasn’t picked up. Jeff is delightful and so charismatic and good at the piano.
