Bekkah:

Was Jeff typecast in the 70s as a hooligan who tried to rape people and ride a motorcycle? I’m really glad he moved out of that and into much better roles because HOLY UNLIKEABLY JEFF. Normally, this would be a Not Enough Jeff, but I feel like we had more than enough! Anyway, we watched the first 30 minutes of this movie a few days ago, during which some dudes robbed a bank, and today we watched the aftermath. Which was: all of the Black people got taken by police, while the blonde-ish, white guy (eventually) got all the money and also Cybill Shepherd. Cybill was an interesting combo of tough, feminist, and smart, but was also willing to give up like her entire life and almost her dog, Otto (the true hero of this movie), for a dude she just met? Anyway, it all worked out in the end, if you are white and blonde, and also a bank robber.

Danya:

Wow, the 70s had a lot of sass! This movie was comedy, except with some jerky-camera ‘nam flashbacks. Jeff plays his quintessential 70s role of rapey hooligan on motorbike, and plays it well. Cybil Shepherd is a true Manic Pixie Dream Girl, who paints in her studio apartment and lives with the true hero, Otto, an adorable mop of a dog. Otto is the best part of this movie.
