Law and Order: Criminal Intent (2009) S8E5 Faithfully, S8E6 Astoria Helen

Bekkah:

Danya made us watch S8E5 which DID NOT have Jeff in it. But I got lucky because one of my commercials DID have Jeff in it! A Goldmiracle! That episode was bad. Unlikeable everyone. No Goldblums! Why does this show have different main characters? I don’t understand the Law and Order land.

But Jeff was BACK in the next episode and it was much better! Mostly because it had Jeff in very charming glasses and his signature leather blazer (this time in brown!). There were bad guys who robbed and murdered and kidnapped literal kids. Cop Jeff saved the day, because of course he did, and he looked very good while doing it. A+ mannerisms today! But remember that this is a cop show and we are supposed to like them in the show, which is complicated because ACAB.

Danya:

So I don’t know anything about law and order. In the first 15 seconds of the first episode, there are a bunch of white people around a very suburban 80s vibe kitchen table eating butter beans. THEN THE SCENE SWITCHES TO A LADY HAVING SEX SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THIS BUTTER BEAN SCENE IS NEVER EXPLAINED. This is why we needed to watch the first episode. Also, that episode helped me realize that there are actually very few (only 2.5!) of the ten commandments that I agree with. We watched the whole episode and I still don’t get who this family into beans was! That’s the true mystery.

The episode with Jeff actually in it was much better. Jeff manifests leather blazers in his sleep, and the world is better for it.
