Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2009) S8E10 Salome in Manhattan

Bekkah:

Holy toxic masculinity, Batman! I mean everyone was pretty fucking toxic in this, even Jeff who was taking waaaay too much pleasure antagonizing the murderer who killed a woman because she made his super toxic bff sad (by not wanting to marry him). I mean, the murderer was a horrible person, so maybe he deserves it? But I still didn’t like it! I feel like I understand the Law & Order procedural math, so that I know exactly when a suspect is the actual murderer, not a red herring. But I mean, it’s a formula for a reason! It works and the case was wrapped up neatly! Lots of good Jeff moments, though, including him eating a fruit salad, him playing the piano, and him smoldering the hell out of everyone at the arcade!

Danya:

So, I’m in Ohio visiting my partner’s parents. I flew on a plane! No one in Ohio wants to wear masks! The cicadas are everywhere. Bekkah would cover them in chocolate and eat them. But really, what we’re here for is this episode of law and order, where once again a beautiful, thin, white, women is murdered by a dude. Dudes need to stop murdering people. Jeff is very tricky and likes to lie to people to get them to confess. Brilliant manipulation, slightly strange maroon corduroy pea coat. Jeff gets to to play the piano, and he clearly is smarter than everyone. Only watch this one if you haven’t already reached your approved dose of toxic masculinity for the day, because you will def overdose on it.
