Look this movie is not a great movie, but it is a whole lot of fun! It’s made for people who love Jurassic Parks/Worlds and I love all the references and callbacks to the older movies. I still wish Blue ate Chrisp Ratt, which I think would have been so poetic and beautiful. But seeing the OG gang back together was great. They have perfect chemistry together! Like what a dream team!! And Jeff is the sorely needed comic relief in this movie. Plot-wise, this is all over the place, but I will totally watch it again!

Dinos dinos dinos! Now they’re in Italy! And now they’re also bug-dinos! And now, it’s the BUG dinos that are threatening our very existence. How charming! This was actually really comforting, in that every good person was never in actual danger. Jeff was just incredible and acerbic and handsomely funny. Every good person is VERY good, and the baddies are just like, so bad. I love a Just Jurassic World. The franchise also seems like it looked around and noticed that every main character was White. How embarassing! They solve that by making 95% of the background characters not white. So like, that’s fun! Overall, it would have been more fun to see this in the theater but pretty great to have Bekkah on my couch munching snacks instead.

Dad liked it as an homage to all previous works by Spielberg, but where was ET? Chris says “That was bananas”, just like Jeff.
