Oh man this is our pentultimate Jefflandia episode and I am so excited for the point at which I no longer have to watch any more Portlandias. I didn’t hate this episode, to be honest. I didn’t love it, and there was that weird racist Chinese restaurant moment, but overall this episode wasn’t too bad. Maybe Danya even caught me giving a “ha!” a couple times? But, as usual, our hero Jeff was absolutely delightful as a vocal coach. He wasn’t even acting, I think they just said “pretend to be a vocal coach" and he DELIVERED. In the end, even the great Carrie Brownstein sucks at karaoke, but Jeff said he was so proud of them and that little phrase is the sweetest music ears can hear!

Danya:

This episode is so very very 2015. Like a little time capsule, like who has cable anymore? And the work from home bit is weirdly prescient, and not just because I make my partner answer the door all day. Overall, Jeff played himself and he’s delightful.
